PIONEER PARK
Pioneer Park is located on Spring Street behind the Public Library, near the Senior Center.
This is the resting place of some of Berryville’s founders, including E.Q. “Lizzie” Quaile Berry and Isaac Asbury Clark.
You will also find a historic log cabin, school room, print shop and jailhouse as reminders of life in the early years of the Ozarks.
Picnic tables and a basketball court are available at this small public park. Musicians say it is a great space for “pickin’ in the park” events.
Tours of the buildings are included in your tickets to the Carroll County Historical Museum (located on the Square.) Contact the museum at (870) 423-6312.
All of the buildings are open to the public for free tours during the annual Pioneer and Heritage Days hosted by the Carroll County Historical Society. You won’t want to miss this annual event in September.
